ABSTRACT

The linear container shipping industry nowadays is in a maturity stage, for the key problems resolving companies- the industry incumbents undertake the strategic changes, including digital transformation. Digital transformation is the process of digital technologies integration into all company business activity aspects, requiring introduction of fundamental changes into technologies, culture, operations and the new products and services creation principles.

For digital transformation success achievement companies need to undertake consecutive actions starting from the strategic vision and followed by fundamental realization mechanisms. There is a strong requirement of the new architectural concepts creation, allowing the industry incumbents to get competitive advantage and to provide strategic alignment of business and IT architecture for further successful development.

In this research paper basics of architectural approach to the global container shipping line information systems are formulated, the Enterprise Strategic Alignment Method, allowing the company to develop effectively during the global changes of forms and methods of business; the system of Balanced Scorecard for digital transformation control is developed.

ABSTRACT

Solving the problems of theory and practice management development in the interests of technical products’ after-sales service requires comprehensive analysis and the development of appropriate recommendations to create a modern effective management system. In the article the main models’ application directions in the interests of executives of service companies serving Russian-made technical products are considered. A balanced-scorecard strategy map of the service company executives' activities was developed, which is determined for the maximum coverage of all problem areas affecting the implementation of the service company management strategy in the course of after-sales service. The analysis of the existing models application problems in the service company executives’ activities was carried out and a list of requirements for such models was developed. In the process of study, a requirements traceability matrix for CRM-system implementation was built. This matrix represents the requirements and scenarios that are used in tracking the requirements of the CRM-system project implementation. Perspective approaches which help to to increase the efficiency of constructing mathematical models of service company executives on the basis of the principle of modularity and the methodology of simulation-analytical modeling are considered. This makes it possible to create real-time options for efficient system management in a given planning «corridor» with the maximum speed, given the constraints. In addition, it becomes possible to reduce risks of erroneous solutions through the use of known classical methods of screening out all sorts of random factors, including deliberate interference affecting modeling systems.

ABSTRACT

A manufacturing company frequently plays a role of forming unit in a supply chain. The quality of manufacturer’s logistic system administration is an important impact factor for both company’s and supply chain’s performance and competitiveness. This article deals with the topical problem which consists in evaluation of logistic system administration efficiency in a focus company’s supply chain. The methodology for solving this problem, which was developed by the author, is presented. It includes 3 groups of indexes: strategic, which are presented in terms of Balanced Scorecard (BSC); operational, which estimate logistic system administration quality and integrated, which are calculated following changes in crucial for this system (subsystem) indexes’ rate of growth.
The quantitative evaluation of such logistic system’s characteristics, as organization, rhythmicality, synchrony and stability, which are used in the process of logistic system operational management as well as integrated indexes, which are offered by the author, are of academic interest. These indexes allow estimating the impact of the logistic system administration quality on a focus company’s and supply chain’s efficiency.

ABSTRACT

Modern technologies allow to put the question of changing approaches to analysis of the company, instead of applying the traditional, highly simplified technicks of modern mathematics. To do this, you must change the point of view of the economy as a set of static methods of planning and analysis, transforming it into a system of mathematical modeling. This article shows the potential willingness of controlling and management accounting and related techniques to this transformation.

ABSTRACT

The article presents the balanced scorecard created specifically for the enterprise,as performing a full range of functions, includingthe central function– the production. Therefore isformulated formation principles of the balanced scorecard, is provided formulas of calculation. Special attention is paid to determining the relationship of the indicators of economic flow and indicators, included in the balanced scorecard. The result is presenting a hierarchy of indicators adopted to the calculation of the investigated enterprise.

ABSTRACT

The paper considers the problem of estimating sensitivity of the company’s business performance (in particular return on assets (ROA) to the logistics key performance indicators (logistics KPIs). Different impact of each logistics lever (service, costs, performance of the logistics department staff, return of assets, etc.) reflects on the logistics controlling and reporting system of the company due to the KPIs and modifies the return on assets at the company in a variety ways. In turn, the tool of any functional effectiveness evaluation, including logistics, is, for example, the model of strategic profit, which becomes the basis for a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) foundation.

It is (BSC) necessary to install properly the “weight” of each KPI in the BSC in order to motivate efficiently the logistics department staff. Currently in most companies it is done by experts without any objectiveness. The use of sensitivity methods can significantly increase the effectiveness of the incentive system due to the objective calculation of logistics KPIs impact on company’s ROA.

The paper proposes an approach of determining functions and coefficients of the ROA sensitivity to the changes of the logistics KPIs. The approach is based on the dynamic model of assessing the impact of KPI on the financial results of the company: appropriate information in the form of retrospective series of ROA / KPI should be used. The algorithm of specified assessment is suggested, and specific example of calculations of sensitivity functions, foundation of BSC and change of incentive system of logistics department employees of the company taking into account educed sensitivity of performance indicators is provided.
