ABSTRACT

In the article   main aspects of strategic technical planning of the system for providing metallurgical production with prepared materials are considered. Shown: the transition of metallurgy enterprises to work with prepared materials requires a change in the conditions for the shipment, delivery and consumption of these materials, necessitates their consumption from the wheels, and the assessment of transport from the point of view of direct interaction with production. The necessity of using in these conditions for the provision of metallurgy enterprises with the prepared materials of highly organized, based on the integral paradigm, evaluated using the requirements of international standards ISO 9000, logistics systems using the capabilities of a single information space supply chains, was proved. The basic condition for the formation of a logistics system for the reliable supply of metallurgical production with prepared materials is determined. The principles of optimizing the parameters of the system ensuring the metallurgical production with prepared materials as a strategic technical basis for its formation are considered. Mathematical models of optimization of the system parameters are proposed. The results of choosing optimal system parameters are presented. The directions of the further development of the research are determined. The completed studies make it possible to determine the conceptual scheme of the new (based on logistic principles and use of the unified information space of supply chains) approach to the strategy of forming, in conditions of extremely difficult external and internal conjuncture, a system of providing metallurgical production with prepared materials -  the most important guarantee of its effective functioning.

ABSTRACT

The task of diagnostics of supply chain processes with the purpose to determine reserves and prospects of efficiency increase is the most time-consuming stage of strategic planning requiring accumulation and systematization of large amount of diverse information. Alongside with this, there are not many complex methods that could allow to implement the strategic planning cycle providing at the same time objective conclusions. One of these methods is the diagnostics of supply chain processes using supply chain operations reference model (SCOR model). The article provides analysis of publications devoted to problems when using SCOR; shows the main problems of the method interpretation and its application peculiarities. Also, the article suggests a procedure of supply chain processes diagnostics with SCOR model; the stages of this procedure are supported with an example. The article reveals that consistent implementation of the described stages allows to significantly simplify the procedure of supply chains strategic analysis providing at the same time consistency and reasonability of the decisions taken.

ABSTRACT

The article looks at the main aspects of supply chain strategic planning in the context of designing, reengineering and optimization of its network structure. The article reveals actuality of supply chain configuration and redesign, and its influence on economic results of the chain agents. It is shown that nowadays network design is based on a fairly well tested technology, methods and IT-support that were put to test in real practice of leading companies. The key issues subject to solving during design process are considered; recommendations on efficiency assessment in volatile market environment are given.

The article provides examples of strategic demands differentiation, benchmarks and reference models when determining parameters of basic supply chain configuration and redesign.

The article structures the sequence of planning and design stages of an optimal supply chain network structure based on strategic focus, prognosticated trends in supply chain management, implementation control, adequate organizational changes in a focus company and SCM structure; integrated information support.

ABSTRACT

The article debates the benchmarking as one of the effective tools for strategic planning and controlling in logistics. The essence of benchmarking and the characteristic of the main stages of its implementation receive the detailed definition in the work. The authors assess the prospects and limitations of the certain types of the benchmarking utilization for the implementation of the strategic cycle of the logistics planning in Russia. Moreover, the article shows how comparative and process benchmarking can be applied in the vertically integrated company. The example is made on the base of supply system reorganization

ABSTRACT

It is impossible to manage a contemporary company without strategic planning and regular monitoring of goals and development direction of supply chain. Top management is in charge of solving tasks regarding merges and acquisitions, competition in the regional markets, influences of price change of raw material and components, problems of JIT transportations, demand structure and geography changes in the regional markets, strategic investment program definition.

Nevertheless in practice it is rare when the process of supply chain modeling and design is formalized at Russian companies. Analysis of supply chain efficiency is done sporadically, takes a lot of time, is not accurate and often is at too high level without consideration of the complex influence on the supply chain infrastructure. Trend to increasing complexity of material, financial and informational flows in supply chains of leading companies defines necessity in informational support of such important planning process. In recent decades specialized methods and technologies were built for modeling complex supply chains respecting production, resource, distribution and other constrains. One of the most important goals of these methods and technologies is informational support of strategic supply chain planning. The article provides typical tasks of supply chain planning, key methods of strategic modeling and also most popular mathematical software for this

ABSTRACT

The article deals with the problems of transport and logistics infrastructure development caused by the change of technology platforms, generations of equipment and technologies in the historic perspective. The main characteristics of the infrastructure and the rolling stock of the various modes of transport - rail, road, water – are explored. It is shown that modern trends in transport infrastructure are associated not only with the technological peculiarities and the change of generations of technology, but also with use of logistics principles. These principles require a comprehensive approach infrastructure design what particularly come to the logistics centers creation.
